Role Overview South of Perth Yacht Club (SoPYC) is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Membership & Administration Officer to join our team in Applecross. This role is responsible for the effective administration and coordination of all membership processes, ensuring a high standard of service to current and prospective members. You will play a key role in supporting member engagement, maintaining accurate records, and other administrative roles whilst contributing to a positive and seamless membership experience. Key Responsibilities Membership Administration & Support Handle membership enquiries via phone, email, and in person Manage and maintain the membership database and mailing lists Coordinate new member onboarding, and welcome communication Process membership applications, changes, and resignations Administer annual renewals and ensure accurate record keeping Work closely with Finance and other departments regarding membership billing and records Member Engagement & Experience Support initiatives that enhance member engagement and satisfaction Assist in coordinating membership-related communications and activities Monitor member feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery Ensure a professional, timely, and consistent response to all member interactions Systems & Process Improvement Maintain accurate documentation of membership procedures and records Contribute to the development and improvement of membership processes and systems Ensure compliance with Club policies and governance requirements What You’ll Bring Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail A professional and approachable communication style Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy Experience working with databases and administrative systems A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement A genuine interest in community-based organisations or member services Qualifications Essential: Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative or membership/customer service role Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite Strong written communication and editing skills Desirable: Experience in a membership-based, community, sporting, or hospitality organisation Why Join Us This is a fantastic full-time, permanent opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team in a dynamic and community-focused environment.
