About the opportunity We are looking for a Digitisation Officer to join our Information Management team for a 24 month contract engagement. Working in a high performing team, the Digitisation Officer is the first point of contact and whom is primarily responsible for actioning internal digitisation projects to convert our physical file repositories into digital format. You will have an enthusiastic can-do attitude with solid customer service experience to be able to: action ongoing digitisation of files and documents (including prepping, scanning and destruction of records) support internal digitisation requests assist with external digitisation projects The role requires a self-starter who is able to perform repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail to ensure items are actioned professionally within a timely manner, whilst maintaining a high degree of discretion and confidentiality of information and tasks. Experience using Content Manager 9 (CM9) and Kodak scanning applications highly desirable in order to quickly adapt to the role. Qualifications and experience Essential: Relevant experience in a records/information management area Attention to detail with focused ability to follow repetitive processes meticulously Computer literacy and ability to use a range of software products. Desirable: Demonstrated experience and knowledge of applying the NSW State Records Act 1998 in particular digitisation specifications and retention and disposal authorities related to local council – GA28, GA51, GA48, GA50, NAP, FA450, FA428, FA402 & FA367 Demonstrated experience and knowledge in using Kodak scanning applications. Remuneration and benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
