WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Our people are collaborative and inclusive team players, committed to finding new ways to increase support for refugees. ·A passionate, creative and adaptable Social Media Content Coordinator to work with our Communications and Public Affairs team to support the delivery of digital storytelling and audience engagement across our organic media and other digital platforms. ·An organised and detail-oriented individual with strong written and visual story-telling skills and an imaginative mindset to create, produce, schedule and monitor engaging digital content which supports our fundraising, advocacy and brand objectives. YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY ·Creating, scheduling and publishing content across our organic social media platforms ·Identifying opportunities to improve content performance, audience engagement and digital optimisation using platform insights and analytics ·Coordinating and maintaining the social media content calendar ·Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with digital and communications counterparts across UNHCR and the refugee/humanitarian sector ·Developing visual social content, including graphics and short-form digital assets, tailored for various audiences focused on acquisition and retention ·Writing engaging, platform-appropriate social copy, adhering to brand guidelines, tone of voice and campaign messaging ·Creating and editing short-form video content for social channels ·Supporting digital fundraising and campaign activity through engaging social content WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE ·3 years’ experience with social media, with a strong understanding of social media platforms, audience behaviour and current digital trends ·Demonstrated experience creating social content, writing for digital audiences and managing online communities ·Experience using social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social or similar platforms ·Strong image and short-form video editing skills ·Experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite to create digital content ·Basic understanding of paid social boosting ·Strong written communication and visual storytelling skills ·Prior experience with a non-profit, advocacy or purpose-driven organisation would be advantageous WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN Working at Australia for UNHCR means that you get to make a difference for refugees every day.
