The Opportunity UA is seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT). The role manages the annual awards cycle – from planning and promotion through to nominations, assessment and ceremony coordination – ensuring the program is delivered on time, with integrity, and with a strong stakeholder experience. This is an exciting opportunity to: Take ownership of a high-profile national awards program with real impact across the higher education sector Play a key role in bringing capability in-house and shaping future program design Engage directly with senior university leaders and sector stakeholders Join a collaborative, purpose-driven organisation with a strong mission Contribute to celebrating and strengthening excellence in teaching and student outcomes21518 The Role Your responsibilities will include: Lead the planning and delivery of the AAUT program, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met Manage nominations, applications and assessment processes, ensuring integrity, confidentiality and fairness Coordinate assessment panels, committees, and volunteer assessors Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and delivery frameworks Build strong relationships with universities, academic leaders, and sector stakeholders Partner with communications and events teams to promote the program and deliver high-quality awards events Oversee the digital platform used for submissions and assessment (SurveyMonkey Apply) Monitor program performance and implement continuous improvements year on year The Ideal Person You’re an experienced program or project manager who thrives on delivering complex, high-stakes initiatives from end to end. You have a creative, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for celebrating strong outcomes in the higher education sector. Experience and Skills: Minimum 3-5 years’ experience delivering end-to-end programs (e.g. awards, grants, assessment, panel-based processes or similar) Strong project management capability, including planning, scheduling, and managing competing deadlines Confidence working with online submission/assessment6 platforms and digital workflows Experience working in integrity-critical environments (e.g. confidentiality, probity, conflict of interest) Proven ability to engage and influence diverse and senior stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills, including producing guidance materials and stakeholder communications To be eligible for the role, you must have full working rights in Australia.
