If you're a Project Manager who enjoys owning a job from early design conversations through to defects, this will feel like a good fit. You won't be handed a rough set of drawings and told to just deliver. You'll be involved from the front end, working alongside design, shaping methodology and setting the job up properly. Once on site, you'll carry it through to completion and defects, keeping standards high and clients confident. The first project is a $2.5m commercial D&C fitout across multiple floors in the CBD. You'll have a dedicated Site Manager on this job, allowing you to focus on programme, cost control, stakeholder management and overall delivery. As projects vary, there will be times you step closer to site, so you need to be comfortable getting involved when required. What matters is recent, hands-on D&C experience. You've been operating as a PM for a couple of years and are confident running jobs end to end. You understand the link between design and delivery, can manage consultants and trades and don't need to be pushed to keep things moving. You're comfortable in front of clients, can handle tender interviews and are happy to get involved in pitching work alongside the sales team. You'll be joining a business that's been operating for nearly 30 years across Australia and New Zealand. They've recently moved into a new CBD office, with a new Head of Projects and Head of Design in place, bringing fresh energy and direction across the team. It's a genuinely approachable group, not overly corporate, where people are trusted to get on with their job. If you need to step out for school pick-up or an appointment, that's fine, as long as your work is under control. It's a grown-up environment where output matters more than hours at your desk. To be considered, you'll need experience delivering commercial fitout projects in Australia, ideally within live environments or workplace settings. You've been exposed to the full D&C lifecycle and understand what it takes to manage both design and delivery in these types of projects. The salary is up to $180k super, depending on experience. More importantly, it's a role where you'll have genuine ownership and visibility across the full lifecycle of a project. If this sounds worth exploring, call Robert Wills on 0468 032 453.
