About the role FabWest is seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator (Boilermaker) to join our team in Cockburn Central, Western Australia. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in the fabrication and welding of high-quality steel products. As a Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, operating specialised equipment, and ensuring the completion of projects to the highest standards. Valid work visa or Australian citizenship/permanent residency required for this position. What you'll be doing Read and interpret detailed technical drawings to understand project specifications Set up and operate various welding and metalworking equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding machines Fabricate, assemble, and weld steel components and structures using appropriate techniques Fabricate, assemble, and weld steel pipe spools using appropriate techniques Work with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects Adhere to all safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment What we're looking for Formal qualification in Steel Fabrication (Boilermaking) or a related trade Extensive experience (minimum 3-5 years) in a similar steel fabrication role Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications Skilled in the use of a variety of welding and metalworking equipment Basic welding tickets required for welding operations Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment Must have experience fabricating pipe spools Preffered 2 years of pipe spool fabrication experience Preffered but not neccesary ability to fabricate and weld Stainless Steel AND/OR Aluminium What we offer Competitive salary and opportunities for career advancement A supportive and collaborative work environment Ongoing training and development to enhance your skills Spacious work spaces Employee recognition programs About us FabWest is a leading steel fabrication company serving the Western Australian market.
