Working within the Kwinana Bulk Terminal (KBT) Redevelopment Project team, this major project is a rare opportunity with a location in the Fremantle area, project stability, , and an ability to have impact in a project set to significantly increase WA marine trade capability. The Role Play a key role in the delivery of the approval's strategy for the KBT Redevelopment Project. Assist the Approvals Lead deliver approvals by — reviewing technical inputs, developing referral documentation and participating in stakeholder engagement and keeping delivery on track. What you will do Keep the approvals strategy sharp, current, and aligned with project priorities. Review technical and risk documentation with a critical, quality-focused lens. Deliver clear, high-impact reports, briefings, and presentations. Spot risks and constraints early—and act fast with practical solutions. Build strong, effective relationships with regulators and stakeholders to secure approvals. Streamline reporting and systems to improve visibility, control, and efficiency. What Makes You a Great Fit The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, along with at least five years’ experience in marine science, environmental management and/or environmental impact assessment—ideally within WA. You bring proven experience working on complex projects, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep delivery on track. You’re confident building strong working relationships with stakeholders and partner agencies, and you approach challenges with sound judgement and well-developed analytical skills. A clear and effective communicator, you’re comfortable reviewing technical documentation and preparing high-quality reports , and presentations for a range of audiences. You are equally comfortable working independently with minimal supervision or collaborating as part of a high-performing team.
