Location Canberra, ACT (onsite – secure environment) Job Title Senior Cyber Advisor Rates $120 – $160 per hour - negotiable The Opportunity This is a rare opportunity to work in one of Australia’s most secure and operationally critical cyber environments. We are specifically seeking Senior Cyber Advisors with current or recently active Top Secret clearance to support high-priority national security programs. This role is not suited to general cyber candidates . We are targeting individuals who have operated in ADF or national security environments , particularly those who have recently transitioned from uniformed service and are maintaining their clearance eligibility. You will provide high-trust cyber security advice across policy, accreditation, threat analysis and system assurance activities. Key Responsibilities Provide ICT security advice across complex and sensitive environments Support system certification and accreditation activities Analyse cyber security data to identify risks and improve posture Assess compliance with ISM, Essential Eight and Defence frameworks Conduct research into emerging threats and intrusion methods Contribute to security strategy and operational uplift initiatives Essential Criteria (Non-Negotiable) Current or recently active Top Secret clearance Australian Citizenship (mandatory) Experience in Defence, ASD or NIC organisations. Highly Regarded Recently transitioned from ADF (Army, Navy, Air Force) Experience in cyber, intelligence, signals or information warfare domains Familiarity with ADF/ASD operating environments and security frameworks IRAP experience or exposure to certification/accreditation Important Note (Please Read Before Applying) Due to the nature of this work: We will only engage with candidates who hold, or have recently held, Top clearance Candidates must be eligible to maintain or reactivate clearance This role is not open to non-citizens or candidates without high-level clearance If you do not meet the above, your application will not be progressed.
