About the role The Production Assistant will join a welcoming and friendly team at our dog treat processing and packing facility. Key responsibilities: Machine operations. Fill, dip, sort and place rolls onto racks. Put racks onto trolley ready for the oven. Mix, prepare and pour products into moulds and put onto trays for drying. Keeping the workspace clean and safe. Inspect prepared products and report quality issues to the Supervisor. Wash and sanitise processing equipment and work area. Assist with packing finished products. Forklift Operations (licenced only) The candidate: Have experience in a fast paced food production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a meat processing role. Willing to work on rotation in the production area. Proficient machine operation skills or the willingness to learn. Practical knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitisation and quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Initiative, attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to handle raw meat products. Ability to work in a cold and hot environment (when ovens are in operation). Physically fit and able to lift up to 15KG. A Certificate II or above in Meat Processing or relevant qualification is highly regarded. Q Fever vaccination or willingness to participate in the vaccination process.
