We are seeking a hands-on Waste Audit Supervisor to lead and coordinate waste audit activities across municipal waste, recycling, FOGO and other material streams. This role is responsible for delivering accurate and reliable data on contamination, product quality, material composition and other audit requirements. You will actively participate in waste sorting, and ensure high standards of safety, data integrity, reporting and compliance. About the role Plan and deliver audits across municipal waste, co-mingled recycling, FOGO and other waste streams as required. Ensure audits are completed in line with contractual, regulatory and internal requirements. Actively participate in physical sorting, categorisation and assessment of materials. Ensure audit methodologies and material categories are applied consistently. Maintain and validate accurate audit records, data and documentation. Prepare clear and concise audit reports for clients and internal stakeholders. Identify contamination trends, product quality issues and opportunities for improvement. Maintain safe, clean and organised audit areas. Ensure compliance with PPE requirements, SWMS and safe work procedures. Report and manage hazards, incidents and near misses. Support clients, councils and internal teams during audits and reporting. Identify and implement improvements in audit processes, efficiency and data quality. Contribute to the development of audit standards, procedures and best practice. About you Experience in waste, recycling, environmental operations or a similar operational environment. Strong attention to detail and a high level of data accuracy. Good communication, coordination and reporting skills. Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices. Comfortable working in a hands-on role that involves physical waste sorting. Ability to stand, lift and work in an industrial environment. Experience in waste audits, compositional analysis or material categorisation will be highly regarded. Knowledge of local government or resource recovery contracts will be advantageous.
