Payroll Specialist About the Role Westfill is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this is a hands-on role for a payroll professional with strong mining industry experience, advanced Pronto ERP capability, and comprehensive knowledge of Australian payroll legislation. Work from home option and flexible work hours Supportive, friendly team within a growing organisation Company-funded maternity leave Further training and career development opportunities Employee Assistance Program (EAP) — covering immediate family members residing at home Free on-site parking in Bibra Lake Your Responsibilities Own end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery Manage and resolve payroll queries promptly and professionally Ensure full compliance across superannuation, payroll tax, leave accruals and applicable legislation Liaise with external bodies including the ATO and Services Australia (Centrelink) on payroll-related matters Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data Prepare payroll reports and analytics as required Drive continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems Assist with human resources functions as needed What You'll Bring Minimum 5 years' end-to-end payroll experience in the mining industry, including FIFO workforce management Strong working knowledge of payroll, superannuation and tax legislation as it applies to mining and FIFO operations Sound understanding of relevant industry awards, the Fair Work Act and related legislation Advanced Pronto ERP skills — specifically within the Payroll module (essential) Experience with timesheet processing and employee project costing Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data validation and reconciliation Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a people-first approach to stakeholder support High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset Permanent Australian work rights (citizen or PR holder) (essential) How to Apply Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your interest in the role and how you meet the selection criteria.
