ABOUT THE ROLE & MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: As a key member of our team, you will be involved in preparation, packing and handling of seafood products. Duties include weighing, packing and labelling seafood, cleaning and maintaining processing areas to Food Safety standards, and providing hands-on support to the filleting and processing team. Your day will typically include; Working hands-on with previoum seafood products including fish, molluscs and crustaceans Operate weighing, packaging and cold storage equipment safely and efficiently Preparing, scaling and cleaning seafood to quality and production standards Playing an important role in keeping products moving to meet daily packing and dispatch deadlines Maintaining clean, organised and food-safe work areas, equipment and tools Following safe work practices and handling equipment in line with workplace health and safety requirements Upholding high hygiene, sanitation and food safety standards in line with HACCP requirements Handling, storing and processing seafood correctly to maintain freshness, quality and temperature control Preventing cross-contamination through safe food handling practices Working closely with your team and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly Supporting clean and responsible workplace through correct disposal and housekeeping practices ABOUT YOU – SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Flexible, reliable and willing to learn Available to work Saturdays as required Positive attitude and strong work ethic Comfortable performing a variety of tasks Physical fit and able to work in a cool environment Team player who can work under pressure Able to maintain WHS and cleanliness of facility Prior experience in seafood (advantageous, not essential) WHY JOIN US?
