Blackfriars Priory School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper Primary classroom teacher to join our school community in Term 3, 2026. Temporary Full-Time Position (FTE 1.0) 10 weeks contract to cover an existing staff member on leave Commencement: 20 July 2026 (Term 3) Key Responsibilities As a valued member of our teaching team, you will: Establish routines and structures that promote a productive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Implement evidence-based teaching strategies to support student growth, particularly in literacy and numeracy. Create and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment underpinned by strong behaviour management. Design and implement differentiated learning programs, including the development of Personalised Plans for Learning as required. Monitor, assess, and document student progress through established reporting and assessment frameworks. Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a professional learning community that values innovation and continuous improvement. Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff to support the development and wellbeing of every child. Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity, in line with school and CESA policies. Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and community engagement. Possess a strong understanding of primary education, child development, and inquiry-based learning approaches. Hold current Teacher Registration in South Australia, a valid Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC training, and First Aid certification.
