About the position: St Peter's College is currently seeking applications for a permanent full time Grounds Manager. The Grounds Manager will oversee the maintenance and presentation of all school grounds, sports fields, gardens and outdoor facilities, ensuring they remain safe, high-quality and visually appealing year-round. The role focuses heavily on sports turf management, including preparing and maintaining cricket wickets, training nets, ovals and playing surfaces for competitive school sport, while managing seasonal turf programs, irrigation, renovations and match-day setup. The position also leads the Grounds Team, manages contractors and budgets, and works closely with Sport, Facilities and School leadership to support school sporting, co-curricular and community activities. As the successful applicant you will have: Demonstrated experience in sports turf and grounds management, ideally within a school or high-profile sporting environment. Ability to lead and supervise staff and contractors effectively. Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements and safe work practices. South Australian Working with Children Check. Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - (RRHAN-EC) certificate. Current Driver’s Licence.
