About Us Tauondi Aboriginal College is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with over 50 years of experience supporting Aboriginal people to access education, training and employment opportunities. Through our accredited training programs, foundation skills delivery, and community-based initiatives, Tauondi provides culturally safe, holistic and strengths-based services that support individuals to build skills, confidence and sustainable career pathways. The Tauondi Aboriginal Pathway Centre (TAPC) complements this work as a place-based, community-focused model that integrates training, career guidance, mentoring, and wrap-around supports to improve participation, retention and employment outcomes. Working closely with community, industry and government partners, Tauondi delivers programs that strengthen social and economic outcomes for Aboriginal people and contribute to Closing the Gap priorities. Key Responsibilities As a Marketing & Digital Communications Officer , you will play a key role in enhancing the visibility, engagement and reputation of Tauondi Aboriginal College and its partner organisation SAAETCC. Your key duties include: Manage and maintain websites and digital platforms, ensuring content is accurate, current and accessible Develop and publish engaging content across social media channels to promote programs, services and initiatives Create and coordinate digital and printed marketing materials including flyers, brochures, newsletters and promotional resources Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, events and community engagement activities Translate program information into clear, engaging and culturally appropriate communication content Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to support coordinated messaging and promotion Ensure all communications align with organisational branding, values and culturally respectful practices Monitor digital engagement and maintain organised records of marketing and communication activities Key Requirements To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the following: Experience & Skills Experience in marketing, communications, digital media or a related role Strong written communication skills with the ability to create engaging content Experience managing websites, social media platforms and digital content Ability to develop marketing and promotional materials across digital and print formats Understanding of branding and consistent messaging across platforms Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Understanding of, or ability to work effectively with, Aboriginal communities and culturally appropriate communication practices Qualifications & Compliance Essential: Certificate IV or higher in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business or related field, or equivalent experience Essential: Current DHS Working With Children Screening (or willingness to obtain) Essential: Responding to Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Essential: Valid SA Driver’s Licence Desirable: Experience in the education, community or not-for-profit sector Desirable: Experience using content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe or similar platforms) How to Apply If you are passionate about supporting Aboriginal communities through effective communication, storytelling and digital engagement, we invite you to apply.
