Business Development Officer Full time, 6 week contract opportunity based in Bayswater $50 hourly rate plus 12% super Start date: 28th May 2026 About the role Provide administrative and business planning support to the Development and Place team, specifically assisting the Manager Property and Economic Development with budgeting, financials and land administration matters. What the role will involve Business planning, and project tasks Preparation of correspondence, reports, meeting agendas and minutes, tenders and memorandums Placement of advertisements, developing and updating brochures and corporate documentation Preparation of purchase orders, requisitions and statutory orders Receive all enquiries relating to Property and Economic Development and take appropriate action in line with established policies and practices with the aim of maintaining strong customer service as required Assist with service unit budget preparation and track expenses during the year Process heritage grant applications and land administration matters (including ROW and PAW closures, road closures, street naming, and minor land transactions (disposal and acquisition of small portions of land) Maintain records management through the Information Systems and associated IT systems including version control, collation of documents to ensure appropriate documentation is available on all building related matters in the event of an appeal About you Cert III in Business Administration or significant administration to demonstrate competence Current Driver's Licence Highly developed organisational and administrative skills with the ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks and coordinate conflicting priorities to meet deadlines Knowledge of budgeting and business planning principles Sound computing skills and experience in the use of packages such as; Technology One, MS Office Suites including Word, Excel and experience in ECM or similar software.
