About the role An exciting opportunity is available for a Business Support Officer to join our Fleet & Waste Services team on a full-time basis at our Operations Centre in Middle Swan. We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person who is able to communicate effectively, has a proactive, positive approach and demonstrable experience of contributing to a high level to the business unit support team. Someone who can work as part of a team and independently, who will take ownership of their role. This position is to provide a diverse range of support services in a timely, efficient and effective manner, including, but not limited to; customer service, procurement, training, contract, recruitment and safety administration, general office duties, data entry, report writing, procedure writing and other support service tasks. This busy and challenging operational role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to set priorities to achieve deadlines and willingness to be versatile and multi-skilled. Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to; Provide timely and highly quality customer service to all customers Provide administrative support to the Management Team Administer procurement processes in accordance with the City’s Procurement Policy About you The successful candidate will have the following: Experience in an operational office environment including providing high quality customer service, data entry, general office duties and report and procedure writing skills Proficient to advanced competency in Sharepoint and Microsoft suite – Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point with an ability to become familiar with other relevant programs Sound written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence A current satisfactory National Police Certificate For more information about the role please refer to the position description.
