We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Design & Drafting Manager to join an industry-leading modular housing company with the ability to deliver new homes within 15 weeks. With stunning high-quality and custom designs, this business is experiencing rapid growth and is now seeking a leader for the design team. This role will be primarily based in Perth’s Eastern Suburbs and will require travel to Northam approximately two days per week. As the Design & Drafting Manager, you will play a key leadership role overseeing a team of four design and drafting professionals, managing workflows, and ensuring all designs and documentation are completed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of four drafting and design staff across modular residential projects Oversee the preparation of detailed construction and manufacturing drawings Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and relevant modular housing regulations Maintain a strong understanding of compliance requirements relating to modular and prefabricated housing construction Coordinate with sales, estimating, production, and construction teams to ensure smooth project delivery Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver customised housing solutions Provide mentoring, leadership, and technical support to team members Key Requirements Previous experience in a Design Manager, Drafting Manager, Senior Draftsperson, or similar leadership role Strong experience within residential construction, modular housing, or prefabricated building environments Advanced proficiency in Revit and/or ArchiCAD Strong understanding of Australian building codes, Australian Standards, and modular construction requirements Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Willingness to travel to Northam two days per week This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and innovative modular housing company in a leadership capacity, overseeing a skilled team while helping shape the future direction of the design and drafting department.
