Simmonds Steel is looking for an experienced Steel Fixer to join our growing team based in Sawyers Valley. The role involves pile cage steel fixing and working closely with a supportive team environment. Both short-term and long-term opportunities are available, with competitive rates offered to suitable candidates. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret construction and rigging drawings to accurately place and secure steel reinforcement Install and tie reinforcing steel to required specifications Inspect completed work to ensure quality and structural integrity Work collaboratively with site teams to coordinate reinforcement activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in line with workplace safety procedures Support and mentor junior team members while leading by example on site About You Minimum 1 year of experience in steel fixing within the construction industry Ability to confidently read and understand construction and rigging drawings Strong hands-on experience with tying and placing reinforcement steel Sound understanding of construction site safety requirements and procedures High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable, honest, and able to work effectively within a team Current driver’s licence and reliable transport required If you are hardworking, dependable, and looking to join a professional team, we would love to hear from you.
