We are seeking a Project Communications & Community Coordinator to support how we engage with our community in the delivery of major and strategic projects. In this role, you’ll help build strong relationships, listen to stakeholder feedback and make sure community insights are reflected in project outcomes. Role Highlights Reporting to the Manager, External Relations, this role connects major projects with the stakeholders they impact. Working in a fast ‑ paced environment, you’ll engage with community, government and customers to deliver practical, two ‑ way engagement. You’ll help build trust and support Fremantle Ports’ social licence to operate, bringing stakeholder insights into project decisions. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Fremantle Ports is seeking a proactive and people-focussed Project Communications & Community Coordinator to support stakeholder and community engagement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced project environment and enjoys connecting projects with the stakeholders they impact. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to support engagement across the project lifecycle. This includes delivering practical, two‑way engagement, supporting day‑to‑day communication and engagement activities and ensuring stakeholder perspectives are captured and reflected in project awareness and decision-making. The role also supports Fremantle Ports’ community investment program and contributes to digital content across social and internal channels. You’ll help keep engagement running smoothly by maintaining stakeholder information, tracking enquiries and issues, and supporting reporting that brings together stakeholder insight, risks and emerging themes. You’ll also bring A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience (3), ideally in communications, stakeholder engagement or major project coordination. Proven experience developing and coordinating communication and engagement materials and activities across multiple channels and audiences. Experience with CRM and digital engagement platforms; specifically confident use of MS Office 365 and collaboration tools. Strong organisational and time ‑ management skills. Well ‑ developed written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently and within a team to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Well-developed interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a diverse range stakeholder. Competence in basic digital content tasks (uploading, formatting, simple design or templates). Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
