What You’ll Do You’ll be at the heart of some of the state’s most significant infrastructure initiatives, helping to build trust, transparency and connection with the community. Your work will include: • Driving communication and engagement strategies that bring complex projects to life • Partnering with project teams, senior leaders and community groups • Leading media, community engagement and project communication activities • Crafting compelling content — media releases, briefings, newsletters, speeches and more • Providing strategic advice on stakeholder issues, risks and opportunities • Coordinating community engagement events that build genuine relationships • Supporting media management, issues response and crisis communication What You Bring You’re someone who knows how to cut through noise, build rapport and keep projects moving. You bring: • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Experience delivering communication strategies in complex or high‑profile environments • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to juggle competing priorities • Confidence working with diverse stakeholders — from community groups to senior executives Requirements • Class C Driver Licence own vehicle • White Card (or ability to obtain within six months) • Ability to complete employment screening • Ability to provide PPE for site visits Highly regarded: • Qualifications in communications, PR or marketing • Experience in infrastructure, construction or major project settings • Issues management experience and IAP2 training • Social media capability Why This Role Matters Infrastructure projects shape how Queenslanders live, work and move.
