Lead major projects supporting Australia's renewable energy transition Competitive salary packaging & allowances with ongoing professional developmen Work on greenfield and brownfield HV projects from 132kV to 500kV About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of HV transmission line projects (132kV–500kV) across the East Coast. You’ll provide technical, logistical, and constructability input across new builds, upgrades, and rebuilds, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time delivery. This is a site-focused role covering access works, foundations, logistics, tower erection, and stringing, with responsibility for planning, sequencing, and coordinating specialised equipment and materials. Key Responsibilities Access & Civil Works Plan and deliver access tracks, drainage, and earthworks in complex and sensitive environments Coordinate geotech, permits, land access, and stakeholder engagement Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and client standards Logistics & Materials Develop logistics plans for structures, conductor, OPGW, and bulk materials Coordinate transport, deliveries, laydowns, and plant/equipment requirements Track materials end-to-end, maintaining QA and minimising delays Transmission Line Construction Support foundations, tower erection, and stringing for 132kV–500kV lines Review methodologies, SWMS, ITPs, and permits (road, rail, utilities) Manage RFIs, design changes, quality, and program performance Coordinate outages and switching with network operators (e.g. Transgrid, Ausgrid) Project Controls Maintain programs (Primavera P6, MS Project, Tilos), S-curves, and reporting Track costs, productivity, and earned value Lead project meetings and contribute to tenders (methods, staging, logistics) Requirements Experience: 4 years in HV transmission line construction (min 132kV; 275–500kV preferred), including Australian project exposure Strong background in access works, foundations, logistics, and linear infrastructure delivery Experience with complex interfaces (heavy haulage, crossings, remote sites) Qualifications: Engineering or Construction Management degree (preferred) Technical: Knowledge of AS/NZS 7000, IEC/IEEE, and utility standards Ability to read drawings, PLS-CADD outputs, and construction programs Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, GIS, and planning tools Commercial: Experience across EPC, D&C, or construct-only projects Tickets: White Card, Driver’s Licence (4WD, RIW, HV awareness desirable) What’s on Offer Lead major transmission projects supporting Australia’s renewable energy transition Work on greenfield and brownfield HV projects from 132kV to 500kV Competitive salary packaging and allowances with ongoing professional development Paid professional memberships, chartership support, and leadership pathways Safety-first team that values work life balance, practical engineering, technical excellence and getting it done right for the right cost with reference to the budget.
