Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Sydney, NSW Project: 41–45 George St Heritage Shops Refurbishment About the Role We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the delivery of the 41–45 George St Heritage Shops Physical Works project. This role will focus on coordinating and managing the construction phase, working closely with the appointed subcontractor builder to ensure the works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. While experience in building and heritage projects is highly regarded, it is not essential. Candidates with strong construction coordination and contractor management experience are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the subcontractor builder responsible for delivering the physical works scope. Coordinate day-to-day construction activities and monitor project progress. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project scope, schedule, and quality requirements. Manage interfaces between contractors, consultants, and stakeholders. Monitor site safety, compliance, and environmental requirements. Review construction documentation, programs, and methodologies. Support project reporting, cost tracking, and issue resolution. Assist with site inspections, quality assurance, and completion activities. Project Scope The project involves refurbishment and upgrade works to the 41–45 George St Heritage Shops , including: Roof replacement Internal fit-out and refurbishment of existing spaces Civil works Drainage connections About You Experience in a Project Engineer or similar construction delivery role . Background in building or refurbishment projects . Heritage project experience is desirable but not essential. Strong contractor and subcontractor coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and site activities. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline .
