In this pivotal role, you will act as the crucial bridge between project delivery, commercial governance, and vendor relations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial, resource, and procurement elements of our project portfolios are running seamlessly. This is a dynamic position suited for a strategic thinker who excels at clearing roadblocks, optimizing commercial agreements, and empowering delivery teams to succeed. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Financial & Commercial Control: Steer the financial health of your portfolio by leading budget monitoring, accurate forecasting, and detailed variance analysis to hit commercial targets. Pre-Discovery & Delivery Support: Partner closely with the Delivery Program Manager to aggressively identify and eliminate early-stage roadblocks, ensuring seamless mobilization and implementation of new initiatives. Commercial Agreement Governance: Take the lead on negotiating and governing partner agreements, ensuring strict compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with corporate objectives. Strategic Supplier Relations: Cultivate and nurture robust partnerships with external suppliers, holding them accountable to performance standards and ensuring all service level agreements (SLAs) are actively met. Purchasing & Supply Chain Oversight: Direct strategic sourcing and purchasing activities, ensuring all acquisitions are highly cost-effective and aligned with broader company goals. Stakeholder Insights & Reporting: Design and present comprehensive updates to senior leadership, highlighting portfolio health, financial metrics, and core KPIs. Resource Mobilisation: Work hand-in-hand with talent teams to forecast resource needs and facilitate the rapid onboarding of critical project personnel. Time & Billing Oversight: Champion the accurate and timely auditing of project hours to guarantee flawless payroll execution and client invoicing cycles. Operational Excellence: Continuously audit current methodologies to pinpoint inefficiencies, successfully deploying targeted process enhancements across your team. MORE ABOUT YOU Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience as an Engagement Manager, Commercial Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) Lead, or similar role driving project operations. Financial Acumen: Deep expertise in managing complex project budgets, conducting financial forecasting, and analyzing commercial variances. Vendor & Contract Expertise: Strong negotiation skills with a history of successfully managing external suppliers, procurement lifecycles, and drafting commercial contracts. Delivery Mindset: Experience working alongside Program Managers to unblock project phases (particularly pre-discovery or initiation). Analytical Problem Solver: A proactive approach to identifying operational bottlenecks and a proven ability to design and implement impactful process improvements. Stakeholder Mastery: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence both external partners and internal executive leadership. Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail, particularly when managing compliance, timesheet reconciliations, and critical reporting metrics.
