About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Manager, Strategy & Projects to lead organisational strategic planning, drive execution of key priorities, and oversee HOPE’s strategic project portfolio. This role connects strategy to delivery, ensuring plans are actionable, progress is tracked, and decision-makers have access to clear, high-quality insights. You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and leaders across the organisation to embed strategy, strengthen performance, and identify emerging opportunities. Key responsibilities include: Strategic Planning & Execution Leading the organisation-wide strategic plan delivery Supporting leaders to align team plans with strategic priorities Monitoring performance, risks, and dependencies across portfolios Preparing high-quality reports, dashboards, and insights for the organisation Project Portfolio Oversight Managing the organisation’s strategic project portfolio Establishing and maintaining project governance frameworks Ensuring clear ownership, milestones, and oversight of key initiatives Escalating risks and issues with clear, evidence-based recommendations Project Management Leading cross-functional Strategy and Impact projects as required Ensuring effective planning, resourcing, and delivery of initiatives and projects Developing business cases for strategic initiatives and growth opportunities Horizon Scanning & Policy Analysis Identifying emerging trends, policy changes, and funding opportunities Analysing sector reforms, partnerships, and competitive landscape Translating insights into strategic advice, risks, and opportunities People Leadership Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team Creating a collaborative, inclusive, and professional work environment Building strong relationships across HOPE and with external stakeholders What’s on Offer Competitive salary $15,900 per annum salary packaging benefits 38 hours per week based in Perth with flexible working option Opportunity to influence organisational strategy and deliver meaningful community impact Supportive and values-driven workplace Ongoing support and training You’ll Need Demonstrated leadership experience Strong strategic planning and execution capability Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent experience Strong project management and change management experience Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills Understanding of government policy and funding environments (ideally within community services) Pre-employment requirements: Current Driver’s Licence (C or A Class) National Police Clearance (within 3 months) Next Steps If you’re shortlisted, we’ll contact you for a phone conversation and may invite you to an interview at our Perth office.
