Defendant Insurance – Complex & Catastrophic Claims In this role, you’ll work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team at the forefront of complex and catastrophic claims. You’ll be involved in managing one of Queensland’s largest portfolios of catastrophic personal injury matters. Over the past two years, the team has successfully resolved approximately 40 claims ranging from $1M to $8M. Importantly, this is not a volume-based role and you won’t be handling low-value, routine claims. Instead, you’ll be consistently challenged and intellectually engaged from day one. There is also scope to undertake workers’ compensation matters if you wish (capacity permitting), offering further variety in your practice. About You – Senior Associate / Special Counsel We’re looking for a Senior Associate with 5 years’ PAE, though candidates at Special Counsel level are also encouraged to apply. The key requirement is your ability to confidently manage claims independently. While you’ll have autonomy, you’ll also be supported by multiple Partners, as well as a strong team of junior and support lawyers to help you thrive and continue developing your expertise.
