About the Role Are you ready to take your procurement expertise to the next level? We’re seeking APS 6 Procurement Officers to join our Federal Government client’s team and deliver strategic, end-to-end procurement solutions. As a key member of our procurement team, you’ll manage complex tender processes, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and ensure compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules—all while driving value-for-money outcomes. ____ What You’ll Do In this role, you will: • Manage end-to-end tender processes for major projects, including developing RFT documentation and evaluation reports. • Oversee smaller service procurements using panel arrangements and the Commonwealth Contracting Suite. • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legislation, policy, and governance requirements. • Collaborate with technical experts, legal advisors, and commercial teams to deliver successful outcomes. • Prepare executive briefing and approval papers for tender finalisation and contract execution. • Lead or contribute to procurement process improvement initiatives. • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines. • Uphold APS Values, Code of Conduct, and the Bureau’s commitment to social justice. ____ What We’re Looking For • Demonstrated experience in procurement activities across categories such as ICT, construction, or civil works. • Strong understanding of procurement policy and procedures, with the ability to explain and apply them effectively. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple procurements simultaneously and meet deadlines. • Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. • Mandatory: Ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
