One of Australia's largest private family offices is seeking a Finance Manager to join its team in Melbourne. This role has been created due to significant growth and complexity across the group's family office and investment operations. It offers rare exposure to a sophisticated, multi-entity investment environment - spanning both active and passive investments across a range of asset classes. The role Key responsibilities will include: Managing day-to-day accounting and finance operations across family office and investment entities Preparing management reports for investment entities, including board packs and variance commentary Managing statutory reporting obligations, year-end audit preparation and Division 7A requirements Managing tax compliance requirements including BAS, FBT and annual reconciliations Overseeing cash flow management and forecasting across entities Business partnering with investments, group finance, legal and treasury functions Liaising with external advisors including tax agents, auditors and fund managers Leading, mentoring and developing a small team of three finance professionals About you To be successful in this role you will likely have: CA or CPA qualification Strong management accounting and reporting experience, ideally from a business services or professional services background Experience with trust structures, partnerships, companies and superannuation funds Exposure to tax compliance including trust distributions, BAS and FBT Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Xero Strong interpersonal skills and the maturity to engage confidently with senior and family stakeholders An appreciation for discretion and confidentiality in a trust-based environment Family office roles of this calibre rarely come to market.
