The Client Auswide plastering Pty Ltd is a professional plastering trades services company in Kalkallo VIC. They are now looking for a Solid Plasterer to join their team. The Role This role is full time position with an annual salary set at $80,000 plus superannuation, and will be based in Kalkallo VIC. Responsibilities Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to plan plaster installation and decorative design layouts. Measure, mark, and cut plasterboard, cornices, panels, and ornamental mouldings to precise dimensions. Mix and prepare plaster compounds, adhesives, and coatings for plaster applications. Install and secure plaster sheets, panels, and ceiling tiles to frameworks using screws, nails, or adhesives. Manufacture decorative plaster features such as cornices, ceiling roses, columns, and moulded panels using templates and casting techniques. Repair and restore damaged plaster elements in heritage buildings and modern interiors. Fit and align prefabricated plaster components to ensure smooth, seamless finishes. Apply finishing coats, jointing compounds, and textures to surfaces to achieve uniform results. Inspect completed installations for defects and ensure conformity with design specifications and building codes. Coordinate with other trades (carpenters, painters, electricians) to ensure correct sequencing of installation work. Fabricate plaster moulds from rubber, silicone, or fibreglass to produce custom decorative pieces. Operate and maintain tools and machinery such as plaster mixers, cutting equipment, and sanding tools. Maintain clean and safe work environments in accordance with WHS and environmental guidelines. Advise clients and site supervisors on appropriate plaster materials, finishes, and restoration methods. Requirements Certificate III in Solid plastering or equivalent qualification Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience working on residential, commercial, or heritage projects At least 2 years' experience in applying decorative and protective coverings of plaster, cement and acrylic render At least 2 years' experience working with various plastering materials, such as plasterboard, insulation, and decorative finishes At least 2 years' experience fabricating, installing, and finishing plaster components like cornices, pilasters, archways, arches, troughs, skirting. At least 2 years' experience in restoration and replication of ornamental plaster features for heritage or high-end interior projects General construction induction and white card Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 2 contactable referees to be included in the resume
