We are looking for a motivated Team Leader to join Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Canning Vale WA. This role works on a fixed roster, Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm. It’s a hands-on position where you’ll be leading the team on the ground (line sorters & operators) while also jumping in to operate the hook lift truck when required. About the role: Lead and supervise daily site operations and crew performance (line sorters, operators, forklift drivers etc) Conduct pre-starts and reinforce safety and compliance requirements. Monitor productivity and address operational issues on the ground. Support training and onboarding of new team members. Step in to operate the hook lift truck and move bins as required. Liaise with operations/dispatch to manage workflow and priorities. Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines. Report any unsafe work practises immediately to management About you: Previous relevant experience in waste management, manufacturing, warehousing or relevant industry Proven relevant experience to supervise and lead operational staff when required Front End Loader is preferred Heavy rigid (HR) license is required Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to step up when required, similar to a 2IC function.
