About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Wood Machinist / CNC Operator / Cabinet Maker to join our team at handwerk in Beaconsfield, Western Australia. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in the production and manufacturing of high-quality custom furniture and cabinetry. What you'll be doing Operate a SCM 5 Axis Nesting CNC machines to shape, cut and assemble components Read technical drawings and follow specifications to produce custom furniture and cabinetry pieces Assist with the assembly, finishing, and installation of finished products Maintain machinery and workshop equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations Collaborate with the design team to provide input on the feasibility and production of new designs Adhere to all relevant safety standards and quality control measures What we're looking for Formal qualification in Cabinet Making, Carpentry, or a related Trades discipline Proven experience as a Wood Machinist, CNC Operator, or Cabinet Maker, ideally in a custom furniture or joinery workshop environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficient in the use of a wide range of woodworking machinery and power tools Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines Good problem-solving and decision-making skills What we offer At handwerk, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
