Production All-Rounders – Day Shift Industrial Sewing Machinists - Day Shift Day shift hours are 7:00am - 3:06pm The ideal candidate is detail orientated and has a passion for maintaining quality standards and efficient production. Duties include but are not limited to: Production All-Rounder Provide quality control of the products Compare cut products to make sure they match the correct patterns Packaging products ready for dispatch Layup of material and complete as per work order Prepare products for sewing team Operate equipment according to procedures Printing product ID labels Industrial Sewing Machinist Works to a pattern or batches of patterns Works to instructional top sheets Bind raw edges of the product Follow work orders allocated by supervisor Pre-bind headrest opening, pockets and labels Identify quality issues with product and action according to procedures Requirements: Previous experience in a similar position or industry (desirable) Have a basic level of literacy to read and follow general instructions Basic computer skills required Ability to cope with responsibilities provided by management Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to multitask and manage timeframes Have basic physical fitness with the ability to undertake manual-handling activities MUST be able to pass a pre-employment medical and a Drug & Alcohol Screening. MUST be able to provide a current National Police Clearance MUST have permanent working rights with no restrictions.
