About the Role Reporting to the Director of Boarding, the Boarding House Bus Driver plays a vital role in supporting the safety and wellbeing of our boarding students by providing safe, reliable and timely transportation to and from school activities and events. This role can involve supervising students during activities and is a pivotally role in supporting students and families in the boarding house. This is a casual role operating primarily during school terms and fringe days. The role typically includes evening and weekend work, with regular shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, and Saturdays and Sundays. Some flexibility is required to support boarder arrivals, departures, and long weekends. As part of the Boarding House team, you will work closely with boarding staff and students, contributing to a supportive and well-organised boarding environment. Key Responsibilities Safely transport authorised students and staff along approved routes and drop-off points Operate PLC buses in accordance with WA road laws and regulations Maintain appropriate student behaviour and supervision Undertake first aid treatment where required Assist with cleaning and presentation of buses after use Conduct pre-use checks and report defects or maintenance needs Maintain accurate journey and maintenance records Report safety concerns, incidents, or student behaviour matters to Boarding leadership Liaise with Boarding staff regarding schedules and transport needs Contribute positively to the Boarding House team and broader College community About You You are calm, responsible and safety-focused, with a professional and friendly manner. You enjoy working in a school environment and understand the importance of reliability and duty of care when transporting students. Beyond driving, you are happy to be part of the boarding community, engaging with students, building positive rapport, and contributing to a supportive and welcoming boarding house environment.
