About the Roles Reporting to the Lead Psychologist, the School Psychologist plays a vital role in promoting the psychological, social, and emotional wellbeing of our students. You will provide counselling, assessment, and consultative support that upholds best-practice standards in student mental health. As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary wellbeing team, you will contribute to a proactive, whole-school approach to wellbeing—one grounded in prevention, early intervention, and evidence-based practice. This role supports both day and boarding students, working closely with staff and families to ensure coordinated and compassionate care. Current registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is essential. We are currently recruiting for two part-time positions, with some flexibility regarding days and working hours: Approximately 0.6 FTE Part-Time Permanent Approximately 0.5 FTE Part-Time Fixed-Term, Parental Leave cover until the end of the 2026 school year Key Responsibilities Provide individual counselling and therapeutic interventions using evidence‑based approaches Support students’ psychological, social, emotional, and learning needs Interpret psycho‑educational assessments and develop Documented Plans to support student learning and appropriate accommodations Compile and update Documented Plans aligned with NCCD moderation and AISWA funding applications Communicate assessment outcomes and recommendations to families and staff Offer consultative advice to parents and staff regarding wellbeing and learning needs Support transition and adjustment processes for new students Liaise with external professionals and referral agencies when appropriate Participate in case conferences and collaborative support planning Contribute to crisis and critical incident management as part of the College response team Facilitate targeted group programs and wellbeing initiatives Deliver parent and staff education sessions on relevant wellbeing topics Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with professional and ethical standards Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement across wellbeing programs About You You are a qualified, compassionate psychologist who thrives in a dynamic school environment. Essential: Registration with AHPRA as a practising psychologist Current Working with Children Check and Police Clearance Demonstrated experience in counselling and psychological assessment Strong interpersonal, communication, and report‑writing skills Ability to work in a neuro‑affirming and trauma‑informed manner High level of cultural competency Sound knowledge of child and adolescent development and mental health Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Commitment to the vision and values of PLC Experience working in a school setting Familiarity with the WA Curriculum and/or IB environments is highly regarded Applications should be submitted via SEEK, including a cover letter and your current resume, and be received by 22 February 2026.
