About the Role We are proud to partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are currently seeking experienced Indigenous Electrical and Mechanical Trade Assistants to join our team on a remote site in Blackstone, WA for the construction of a Solar Hybrid Power System (778kW/ 2.6MWh) This is a FIFO opportunity operating on an 18:9 roster, supporting supervisors and tradespersons across electrical and mechanical works in a remote environment. Flights are provided from Perth or Darwin to Alice Springs, followed by an organised 8-hour site transfer with accommodation in camp where meals will be provided. Great rates with overnight allowances! Project Duration Electrical works: July to November 2026 with potential to extend Mechanical works: April to July 2026 with potential to extend Key Duties Assist the Electrical & Mechanical Supervisors with electrical works onsite Carry out electrical tasks strictly under supervision Assist with the Installation of the Solar PV mounts & racking structures Support maintenance, installation and repair activities Follow all Safe Work Method Statements and site procedures Participate in toolbox and pre-start meetings Electrical Trades Assistant Maintain tools, equipment and clean work areas Report hazards and stop unsafe work practices Electrical Trades Assistant Comply with all HSEQ and company policies Essential 2 yrs FIFO experience including working in remote locations Driver’s license White card Working at heights Forklift on a high-risk work license Identify as aboriginal or Torres Strait islander Full Australian work rights Good written and verbal communication skills The ability to work long and unsociable hours in remote locations as required Our Commitment We are committed to building meaningful employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and providing culturally safe, respectful workplaces.
