Who We Are The Executive Government Security Team is part of the Enterprise Technology and Security Branch which sits within the Digital, Security and Workplace Operations Division. We have a number of staff spread across multiple locations and whilst you may work remotely, you are part of a larger team that are always available to offer support and guidance. We are responsible for providing accurate, timely security advice and working with other teams across the department to ensure the security of our people, information and assets. What You Will Do The Security Coordinator position provides critical support to senior Commonwealth and Government officials. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Security, and is primarily responsible for operations of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet facilities within the Perth Commonwealth Parliamentary Office. This role includes the provision of bespoke information security solutions and the operation of a range of communications equipment designed to provide Cabinet and the office of the Prime Minister with real-time access to sensitive and classified information. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders, have excellent time-management skills and be able to prioritise competing and at times urgent tasks. This position requires a self-motivated, professional and personable individual with a strong commitment to service delivery. The successful applicant will also be required to update and maintain standard operating procedures for restricted work spaces and ensure procedures are being correctly adhered to. The role requires staff to have the ability to undertake ad-hoc after-hours work, and occasional domestic travel may be required.
