Recruitment Business Partner - Blue Collar Australian Defence Force Fuel Network 12 Months Fixed Term At UGL, one of our most unique partnerships is the Defence Fuels Network, a national network of 100 fuel installations supporting Army, Navy and Air Force operations. We manage asset management, engineering, maintenance, operations, and fuel services across this network as part of a major multi ‑ year contract that continues to expand. We’ve now been awarded an extension to the original scope and ADF have added more Defence Fuel sites in some of Australia’s more remote regions, which means increasing hiring needs. That’s where you come in. About the role We’re looking for a hands ‑ on, proactive Recruitment Business Partner for an initial 12 ‑ month term. This is a busy and varied role with real purpose, supporting blue ‑ collar hiring for trade and operator positions that keep Defence fuel operations running safely and efficiently. You’ll work closely with operational leaders, be part of a down ‑ to ‑ earth and supportive HR team in Perth, and have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, creativity and your own sourcing approach. You’ll recruit the teams who keep Defence Fuel operations on track, ensuring jets, helicopters, ships and vehicles are fuelled for major exercises, live ‑ fire training, amphibious landings, air operations and emergency response missions. Key responsibilities Manage end ‑ to ‑ end recruitment for blue ‑ collar roles including fitters, E&I techs, hazardous area specialists, operators, aviation refuellers, tanker drivers and more. Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard ‑ to ‑ fill positions. Use creative sourcing strategies, community outreach, social media, referrals and more.
