The opportunity ASIO has multiple Personnel Security, Advice and Governance Officer positions available at the AE5 and AE6 levels. Successful applicants will assist in the delivery and support of a wide range of security functions and activities within ASIO. In this role, you will work with your team to lead and promote security best practice, including those mandated in the Top-Secret Privileged Access (TS-PA) Standard and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). You will provide advice to ASIO work areas on how to comply with corporate security policies and procedures designed to protect ASIO's employees, facilities, information and assets from compromise. You will support ASIO clearance holders to understand and meet their security clearance obligations. We are seeking applicants with demonstrated sound judgement, discretion and an appreciation of the broader security environment. A merit pool may be created to fill future vacancies which have the same or similar requirements to this position. This merit pool will be valid for up to 18 months. The key duties of the position include Role responsibilities At the AE5 level will: Foster a best-practice security culture by developing, implementing, promoting and maintaining internal security policies, guidelines and advice. Under limited direction, support Branch processes including responding to stakeholder enquires. Provide best-practice security advice, education and support for ASIO stakeholders and staff, including through your contribution to Branch initiatives. Develop a good understanding of, and support organisational compliance with, relevant legislation and policy requirements. Prepare written and verbal advice to a range of stakeholders in accordance with the TS-PA Standard and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and other relevant policies. Monitor and report on security issues, including identifying emerging trends and providing recommendations for improvements. Maintain strong collaborative working relationships with ASIO stakeholders. At the AE6 level, you will: Lead a high-performing team managing the identification, investigation, analysis and response to security incidents and identified risks. Monitor and respond to security trends and assist in leading Branch processes including responding to stakeholder enquires and offering advice relating to current security policies. Drive a best-practice security culture across ASIO by developing, implementing, promoting and maintaining Internal Security policies, guidelines and advice. Provide best-practice security advice, education and support for ASIO stakeholders and staff, including delivering advice on security management, strategies, procedures and policy. Manage strong collaborative working relationships with ASIO stakeholders, Australian Government and international partners to achieve outcomes. Ensure proactive organisational compliance with the TS-PA Standard, PSPF and other relevant legislation and policy frameworks. Monitor and report on security issues, including identifying emerging trends and providing recommendations for improvements. Maintain strong collaborative working relationships with ASIO stakeholders.
