Your Team The Risk & Compliance team within CFS's Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance unit provides strategic oversight and advisory to ensure regulatory compliance and strengthen risk management across the organisation. As a Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance, you lead a team that acts as a trusted partner to the business, embedding robust frameworks, promoting ethical conduct, and driving continuous improvement. Your contribution includes advising on complex compliance matters, leveraging data-driven insights to identify emerging risks, and fostering a transparent, speak-up culture. By integrating ESG principles and benchmarking against industry best practices, you help uplift compliance maturity and support sustainable governance aligned with CFS's strategic priorities. This role reports into the Director of Risk and Compliance. Your Responsibilities Provide strategic Line 2 risk and compliance advice across all risk classes, supporting informed decision-making and regulatory alignment. Deliver expert insights and guidance on complex risk and compliance matters, enabling transformation initiatives within defined risk appetite. Contribute to consistent implementation of key frameworks, policies, and standards, while identifying opportunities for improvement through analysis and assurance activities. Collaborate across teams to develop compliance dashboards, reporting, and insights for senior stakeholders, and maintain proactive engagement with regulators. Promote an ethical risk culture by embedding obligation management, supporting annual compliance reviews, and ensuring frameworks remain fit for purpose. Your Capability and Experience Extensive expertise in risk and compliance advisory within wealth management, supported by strong academic qualifications in relevant fields such as law or finance. Deep understanding of superannuation, investments, and adviser business models, including customer-centric strategies and integrated platforms. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and influence outcomes across diverse functions and complex environments. Skilled in leveraging technology and innovative practices, including AI, to enhance risk and compliance frameworks, with a focus on ESG integration and conduct risk. Strong capability in driving change, continuous improvement, and applying broad regulatory perspectives to benchmark industry best practices.
