The key duties of the position include Employment Opportunity The Director of the Integrity and Fraud Unit provides strategic leadership and oversight of the department's integrity and fraud and corruption management functions. The role is responsible for strengthening governance, embedding integrity principles across operations, and ensuring the department meets its obligations under the Commonwealth Fraud and Integrity Rules and the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013 (PID Act). The Director shapes the department's integrity agenda through proactive engagement with internal and external partners, including the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Australian Public Service Commission, and the APS Integrity Community of Practice. The position also contributes to strategic planning and fraud and corruption risk management at the enterprise level Key Accountabilities Provide strategic oversight of the department's integrity and fraud and corruption frameworks, policies and procedures Lead the implementation of the Department's obligations under the Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Rule and PID Act Lead the analysis of emerging integrity risks and trends, providing insights to inform executive decision-making. Represent the department in whole-of-APS operational integrity coordination forums and external partnerships. Other qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in either law, public administration, governance, or related field (desirable), or demonstrated work experience in these areas. Familiarity with Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Rule and Public Interest Disclosure Act (mandatory). Security clearance: Baseline (minimum), preference to obtain NV1 if not held.
