Product Design Lead We are looking for a hands-on Design Lead to bring clarity, momentum, and focus to our product design work. This role suits someone who is comfortable working in ambiguous environments and collaborating closely with founders and executive leaders to unpack early ideas, shape them into clear problems, and guide the team toward meaningful outcomes. You will balance leading and doing, providing structure where needed while staying close to the work. What You Will do: Lead and support a small team of product designers Work closely with founders and the executive team to unpack and shape early-stage ideas without judgement Translate high-level direction into clear, actionable design work Guide discovery, prioritisation, and delivery in a pragmatic way Design alongside the team when needed, from exploration through to execution Collaborate closely with product and engineering partners Develop a strong understanding of user workflows, particularly in a clinical contextIntroduce lightweight structure to improve focus and reduce rework What We Are Looking For: Senior product designer or design lead with experience in small teams Comfortable leading while remaining hands-on Strong at sense-making, prioritisation, and sequencing work Curious, open-minded, and comfortable with ambiguity Willing to deeply understand the problem domain and users Practical and outcome-focused approach to design At Lyrebird, you don’t just write code — we help shape the future of the human experience.
