Our client, a fast-growing Fintech business, is looking for a Staff Front End Engineer to help shape and deliver intuitive, high-performing user experiences across its core platform. You’ll sit in Product & Engineering and play a critical role in front-end architecture, delivery standards, and mentoring as the product scales. What you’ll do Lead front-end development for customer-facing features, with a strong focus on performance, usability, and accessibility Build scalable, maintainable UI components Partner closely with product, design, and back-end engineers to ship high-quality releases Optimise applications for speed and scalability, and help keep the codebase clean and efficient Lift front-end infrastructure and best practice across code quality, testing, and documentation Run design/code reviews and mentor engineers across the team Improve the team’s tooling, workflows, and developer experience as the product grows What we’re looking for Extensive front-end experience building complex web applications Expert level JavaScript, TypeScript, React & Next.js knowledge Solid experience consuming REST APIs and working with modern build tooling (e.g., Webpack/Babel equivalents) Comfortable with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest/Cypress equivalents) and shipping with confidence Strong UI craft: responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, design systems, and attention to detail Bonus points for experience in payments/fintech/financial services, or cloud-native/microservices environments A customer-first mindset and a collaborative, pragmatic “get it done” attitude This is a high-impact Staff-level role with real influence over front-end direction and standards.
