What you'll do Provide high level data entry with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Provide a high level of administrative support to Pathologists and other Forensic Pathology staff. Filing of confidential, and explicit material including reports and other legal documentation. Monitor regional cases that may be transferred to FPaCS to ensure arrival and return in a timely manner. Monitor regional Natural Causes deaths within allocated region and perform registration of all new cases and timely processing of all case information material. Within scope of role, respond to telephone enquiries from potentially distressed relatives and friends of deceased persons and/or arrange follow up by relevant area. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including pathologists, police officers, funeral directors, coroners and other court staff from throughout Queensland, and build effective relationships to ensure accurate and timely processing of information and documents. Monitor internal workflows to ensure efficient and effective processes. About you We are searching for someone who has: Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and a high level of accurate keyboard and data entry skills. Well-developed interpersonal, consultation, written and verbal communication skills, in particular, tact, discretion, sensitivity, confidentiality and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Demonstrated ability to problem solve, prioritise tasks and work in a high-volume environment both autonomously and as a team member. Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of the relevant policies and processes governed by the Coroners Act 2003. Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of a range of software applications that relate to Forensic Pathology. Why work with us?
