About the Role As part of BDO’s continued growth in our Sustainability practice, we are looking for a Manager / Senior Manager to join our Sustainability & Climate team in Brisbane. In this role, you will work across a diverse portfolio of sustainability and climate-related advisory projects. You will guide boards and executives through complex sustainability challenges, helping them unlock opportunity, strengthen resilience and build long term value through practical, future focused solutions. You will have the opportunity to: Lead sustainability and climate-related engagements including double materiality assessments, climate risk analysis, decarbonisation strategies, transition planning and sustainability reporting Co-lead high quality climate and ESG disclosures with our Corporate Reporting team (AASB S2, IFRS S1/S2, GRI, SASB), grounded in robust governance, processes and strategy Analyse and interpret clients’ exposure and resilience to climate change, including scenario modelling, transition pathway development and climate related risk and opportunity assessments Advise on a broad range of sustainability themes including nature, modern slavery, circularity, waste, DEI, community engagement, purpose, governance and responsible procurement Deliver clear, compelling reports and presentations tailored to senior stakeholders and diverse industries Build capability within client organisations through education, coaching and sustainability uplift initiatives Mentor and develop junior consultants, contributing to a high performance, inclusive team culture Support senior leaders through proposals, thought leadership and business development that position BDO as a leading advisor on sustainability and the energy transition Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary client solutions About You Experience in sustainability, ESG, climate risk, responsible investment, or related areas, ideally gained in consulting or a corporate ESG function Tertiary qualification(s) in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, finance, business or similar; postgraduate qualifications favourably regarded Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and climate reporting standards, such as ISSB, IFRS, AASB, GRI or comparable global frameworks Proven ability to communicate complex sustainability and climate concepts clearly through reports, presentations and stakeholder facilitation A collaborative, problem solving mindset with a passion for driving positive environmental and social outcomes Demonstrated ability to lead engagements, manage deliverables and contribute to a culture of high performance, psychological safety and shared success Why BDO?
