Governance and Integrity provides policy and operational advice and support to the Premier, Director-General, and where relevant, all government departments. Theseresponsibilities include administering the department's responsibilities under the RTI and IP Acts. How you'll contributeIn this varied and intellectually stimulating role, you'll make your mark by:- reviewing and processing RTI access and amendment applications - providing high-level advice and recommendations on RTI matters for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and the Office of the Premier including issues arising from the commencement of Information Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2023 (IPOLA)- maintaining and undertaking regular reviews of departmental and ministerial RTI and privacy policies; and- working collaboratively with business groups to ensure RTI and privacy processes operate effectively and contribute to accountability and transparency. What you'll bring to the roleWe are looking for an RTI officer who has a comprehensive knowledge of the RTI Act and experience handling complex and sensitive access and amendment applications. You'll draw on your prior experience developing and implementing policy to maintain and undertake regular review of departmental and ministerial RTI policies.
