We're looking for a dedicated and proactive Operations Officer (AO4) to join the team at Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and help deliver our vision of connected communities in a thriving, sustainable Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by supporting essential transport services and ensuring the smooth operation of school transport programs across the region. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering frontline customer service by investigating and resolving complex complaints and assisting with the preparation of important documents, including ministerial correspondence. You'll also provide expert advice to industry stakeholders and internal teams on legislation, policies, and operational processes to ensure compliance and best practices are maintained. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve monitoring data systems, such as the School Transport Information Management System, to ensure accountability and sound governance. You'll also coordinate and supervise specialised school transport programs and the School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS), ensuring these vital services are delivered effectively and efficiently. Additionally, you'll assist in monitoring performance under service contracts, with a strong focus on compliance and operational delivery.To thrive in this role, you'll need to be someone who enjoys working collaboratively with others, building strong relationships, and tailoring communication to suit different audiences and contexts.
