Your new role: As an Administrative Officer within the Medical Education Unit (MEU), you will provide comprehensive administrative and customer service support to assist in the delivery of the prevocational medical training program at PAH. You'll be the first point of contact for the unit, ensuring accurate information, professional communication and smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining confidentiality and discretion. You will contribute to the effective functioning of the MEU by supporting data management, assessments, meetings, diary coordination and reporting, while working collaboratively with senior staff and stakeholders to achieve departmental goals. Key responsibilities include: Acting as the primary point of contact for the Medical Education Unit via phone, email and in person Providing timely, accurate information and high-quality customer service Maintaining databases, completing data entry and producing reports for meetings and action tracking Processing confidential assessments for prevocational doctors and escalating concerns appropriately About you: You are a highly organised and professional administrator who thrives in a busy, service-focused environment. About us: The Medical Education Unit (MEU) at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive medical education program and support structure for prevocational doctors (post graduate years 1-3). The Unit has a key role in ensuring that the education and training of prevocational medical officers meets the standards set by the Medical Board of Australia. MEU personnel are responsible for organising the education program for prevocational doctors, including comprehensive orientation, formal and informal training, personal and professional development, mentoring and access to career advice. The unit also collates feedback from prevocational doctors in order to advocate for improvements to their education, training and work environment. The team also provides support to Term Supervisors (senior medical staff) throughout the hospital who oversee the education and training in their respective clinical areas.
