About our Client Our client is a large Queensland Government department, centrally located in Brisbane CBD. We are looking for an AO3 Payroll Officer to join their Payroll Services business unit on a contract basis until 31 July 2026, with potential extension. About the role Key responsibilities in this role include: Process and validate timely and accurate end to end payroll and establishment transactions in SAP Provide business support including data entry, spreadsheeting and word processing Work as part of a collaborative team Identify, recommend and participate in continuous improvement initiatives Develop and maintain productive working relationships Deliver high quality customer services Demonstrate strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deadlines Contribute to an accountable, fair and safe work environment About you To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate: Previous experience in an end-to-end Payroll position using SAP within a large, complex environment High level of attention to detail Ability to work flexibly and independently as an effective team member Clear, concise and respectful communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent customer service skills Valid working rights for Queensland, Australia Previous experience in a similar role within Queensland Government would be highly advantageous.
