About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Japanese cuisine, attentive to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, contributing to menu development, and maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities Plan menus and accurately estimate food and labour costs Order, manage, and maintain food supplies and stock levels Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard Monitor the quality of dishes at every stage, from preparation to presentation Coordinate with management and front-of-house staff regarding food preparation and service Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising kitchen staff as required Lead and motivate junior kitchen staff, ensuring all preparations are completed on time and to the highest standards Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a cafe or restaurant environment Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management, leadership, and teamwork skills What We Offer Competitive salary: $75,000- $85,000 per year Superannuation Permanent full-time role in a stable and growing business Supportive and collaborative workplace culture Opportunity to contribute creatively to menus development
