As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will contribute to robust policy, financial analysis, and intergovernmental affairs, playing a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of state outcomes. Positions are available in the Social Policy and Analytics teams and the Intergovernmental Relations team within the Social and Intergovernmental Division. In this role, you will work collaboratively with government agencies, providing expert advice on budgetary and policy matters to ensure Queensland's best interests. In This Role, You Will Undertake complex financial, policy, and budget analysis, providing insightful advice to agency clients and senior executives. Develop detailed submissions, correspondence, and briefing materials for intergovernmental forums and ministerial stakeholders under tight time constraints. Monitor, analyse, and assess government agencies' budget and performance data to identify trends, financial risks, and management strategies. Advise on intergovernmental agreements and provide strategic recommendations to shape Queensland's policy and funding landscape. Represent Queensland Treasury on intergovernmental working groups, committees, and forums while cultivating effective partnerships within and across government agencies. Proactively contribute to the Treasury's strategic initiatives and organisational goals, ensuring a whole-of-government approach to economic and fiscal responsibilities. What Experience You Will Bring Proven skill in monitoring, analysing, and interpreting financial and non-financial performance data. High-level communication skills, including the ability to contextualise complex financial and policy concepts for a range of stakeholders. Demonstrated expertise in public policy analysis, development, and implementation. Excellent research and analytical abilities, with the capacity to assess and interpret emerging financial or policy challenges. Strong interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills to foster collaborative partnerships.
